Canada

We spent a little more than a week in Canada in June. We went with Jason's Dad, Brian, and Kristin, Tyler, Aaron and Kristi. It was a really good time! Shona even baited her own hook! It was beautiful. We saw moose, swimming squirrels, beavers, and Kristi even saw a bear on her morning run. The mosquitos were a little crazy, but as you can see Kristi is a great mosquito hunter!

Moms' Birthdays

We've had a busy spring! It's been a few months since we updated the website. As you can see in the pictures we celebrated both our moms' birthdays in March. He had a great time at both parties! In case you haven't heard, Tyler and Kristin got engaged in April, so we are looking forward to a wedding in June 2008.

Yeti's new dew!

Yeti just got back from the groomer. Shona is very proud because the groomers say she is their favorite dog. One even claims to select shifts when she sees Yeti on the schedule. Now they probably say this to all doggie parents, but in our case Shona's sure it's true!! :-) Check out her bows. Isn't she glamorous?

Weekend Get-Away

We spent a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Indian Bear Lodge to celebrate Shona's graduation (she's done!!!). The cabin was perfect. We spent time relaxing, reading, enjoying the hot tub, and exploring Amish Country. Most importantly, we had time to slow down and have quiet time together. It was wonderful!!

Ice Days

Okay, so this is dragging on a little long. We just got word that we are both off school tomorrow - again!! This will be Jason's 11th (?) day and Shona's 7th most of which have been in just the last two weeks. We got hit Tuesday night with a snow storm which turned to ice. This weekend is President's Day, so we won't go back until Tuesday. Luckily we've been able to use the time. Jason has been working on the house and Shona has been working on her final research project for graduate school. May can't come soon enough!!!

We also included a picture of Yeti after she became the victim of some pretty bad static electricity during a wrestling match with Jason!

Snow Days!!

We've had a really nice mini-vacation these past few days! Monday and Tuesday we were out of school for cold weather (-20 degrees with windchill) and Wednesday we were out for snow! We've had a lot of fun.

We hate to admit it, but we did turn into "those" people. Poor Yeti was so cold she was doing handstands in the snow to keep her feet warm. By the time she came over and sat on Shona's feet crying with two of her feet in the air, we decided she needed boots. Negative twenty degrees is cold! Now that she has her boots, she loves playing in the snow!

We bought a "new" truck two weeks ago. It's a 2005 Nissan Titan. We really like it. You can see it here. It's salty, but you get picture.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas with family. We went on a mini-tour of Ohio to visit Delaware and Bellefontaine where we celebrated and had a great time!

Before Christmas we created our own at-home cornhole game factory, where we produced five cornhole game sets to give as Christmas gifts.

On Christmas Eve we were in Delaware at Jan and Reg's, but we were lucky that Jason's family was also able to join us. We went to the Christmas Eve service and then back to the house to eat and play games. What fun! Christmas morning was also spent in Delaware with Reg and Jan opening gifts and enjoying a wonderful brunch prepared by the "guys."

Christmas afternoon we were off to Bellefontaine for further celebration with the Summertons and Garvers. We were able to meet Ken and Kathy's new baby, a shih tzu, named Sadie Rose. When Sadie is a little bigger, we're sure she and Yeti will be the best of friends.

We were also able to visit Grandma Betty twice and spend a fun day with Brian opening gifts and playing games.

How blessed we are!
